Hot on the heels of the out-of-the-ordinary foodie pop-up ‘Pestaurant’ last week, we bring you Pot Noodle’s ‘Chez Lad’ pop-up.
Offering a “No fuss, no frills” dining experience for ‘lads’, the pop-up was launched to promote the new Piri-Piri flavoured Pot Noodle, and is unashamedly aimed at targeting its young, male franchise.
Diners, to use a loose term, are seated in a Lay-Z-Boy armchair, surrounded by fridges and widescreen TVs, and waited on by an allocated waitress. The crowing glory of the experience is a branded ‘onesie tuxedo’ for them to relax in.
As Pot Noodle explains, “We know that they’re not interested in a Michelin Star fine dining experience in a stuffy restaurant, so we’ve created an exclusive opportunity to kick-back with their mates after work or Uni”.
We’re not sure about the onesie, but we are sure that this kind of brand experience is the one that’ll engage this audience!
